In other words, he kept me in the loop about absolutely EVERYTHING and in careful detail. He gave me a very specific timeline of events and he STUCK TO IT. he never said, “please give me more time,” or anything that might make me feel as though he were delaying anything, or that I was a mistress. If a man gives you things that sound like excuses or justifications versus sounding like a timeline, then you’re playing a waiting game that may never end. Don’t be afraid that asking for a timeline would make you look desperate or pressuring, especially if he is not legally married to the person he’s currently with. NOT requesting a timeline would create a lack of respect and cause a guy’s mind to possibly actually classify you as a mistress. The above is what I stuck to during my proverbial wait, and the same advice I have given to certain clients. It has never failed. Hope this help.
Well, first of all, it takes effort – from both parties. You know what it takes to keep buddies? Well double that, at a minimum to keep friends. And then multiply that times 10 for your closest intimate relationship. The deeper the relationship you want, the more effort you must put in. And of course, you have to find another person who wants a truly deep, intimate relation WITH YOU. And that person needs to put as much effort as you do into it, to make it deep & strong & to keep it that way. When you get distracted, by bills, jobs, and the routine of daily life? You need to double up on your efforts to maintain your relationship. When it gets harder – like when babies and then toddlers and then kids and then teenagers distract you & test your energy and your patience? You need to double your efforts again. When your parents are aging & becoming dependent, you need to double your efforts again. At times of stress, you cannot resort to making jabs at your partner. You cannot walk away to tend your own wounds by shutting the other person out. You must rally to the alliance you made – both of you must do that.
